Eligibility

for

Fully Funded Climbing Places

We support children & adults age 4+ experiencing challenges & disadvantages which are curtailing their access to well-being activities & contributing to isolation, loneliness, depression & low self-esteem.

These challenges are often connected to the effects of poverty & deprivation, & may be exacerbated by other difficulties such as disabilities, additional support needs, drug & alcohol issues, poor educational engagement & refugee status

Some examples of the  intersectional challenges that eligible clients may face are:

  • poverty & deprivation

  • additional support needs & disabilities

  • refugee or asylum status & challenges around integration

  • poor educational engagement

  • care experience

  • depression, isolation & mental health challenges

  • status as a carer

  • homelessness or vulnerably housed status

  • addiction recovery

  • domestic violence

  • trauma & PTSD

Fill in & upload an application form by clicking the black & pink disc below.

treetop rocks (6).png

While we process your form, go ahead & choose your preferred time & date. Book the number of spaces you want using the online booking calendar & instructions in the next section down the page.

Once your application is processed, we will get in touch with you & confirm your session.

Fill in & upload the risk acknowledgment document for each climber by clicking the pink banner below

Community group leaders or service providers may fill these out for under 18s in their care. If your group exceeds 4 people, you will need to upload multiple copies.

Please note that the risk acknowledgment document is not the same as the risk assessment. If you require a copy of the latter, it is available by emailing Phoebe at info@treetoprocks.co.uk

Check the map for Queen's Park below & arrive 5 minutes before the start of your session. Please ensure you arrive on time as there will be other participants climbing alongside you.

Booking Calendar & Instructions for Use

Our Queen's Park tree fits 7 climbers per session, however we can run up to 5 sessions in a day (= 35 people per day)

We also have another site in Boden Boo woods where we work with 2 adjacent trees meaning 14 people can climb per hour (= capacity 70 clients per day)

If you have a very large group, we can run consecutive sessions, over several hours or multiple dates.

So we can ensure as many people as possible are accommodated in the first run of sessions we are initially allowing one booking per participating climber (however, a referring support worker may refer multiple clients). We hope to expand on this in due course & will inform interested parties as soon as we are able to accommodate further sessions.

  • Click Request to Book below to view the booking calendar

  • Choose your preferred date & then time slot

  • Then reserve any space number (e.g. Space 4) & make a note of it before proceeding so you don't add the same space twice

  • Hit the second Request to Book button, & proceed to fill in your details. Then hit Add to cart.

  • From here, EITHER hit Continue browsing, navigate back to the Funded Climbing page & repeat the steps, adding a different space number (e.g. Space 2), OR click View cart if you have finished booking your spaces

  • To finish the process, from View cart, go to Checkout (you will see the charge is £0) & make the final Request to book.

  • Once your application form has been accepted & processed, you will receive an email confirming your session.
